Sayed Quraishi is a Medical Student

Sayed Quraishi is a Medical Student at UCSF. When he’s not in the library, he’s looking for a new way to give back to the community.

He was the Chair for SFBC, he was the youngest candidate ever to run for a Director’s seat, and he was the Youngest Director on the Board.
For all that, Sayed has been named UCSF’s College Professor of the Year.
There’s a lot that makes Sayed incredible, but one thing makes him different.
As he tells it, his very existence is a sign of hope.

Through his Faith and community engagement, Sayed has found a way to be a role model to other young Muslims like himself.

We found out that Sayed was named UCSF’s College Professor of the Year. He says he doesn’t think of himself as a role model.
But, the process for that award really made him think about what a role model actually is.

[Sayed’s] dedication to the entire university and the community is why UCSF’s College Professor of the Year award is so meaningful to me.

As a young Muslim, Sayed knows what it means to be afraid. But, with his unique perspective on faith, family and community, he knows how to bring the faith to life.
