Sayed Quraishi is a Medical Student

Sayed Quraishi is a Medical Student at UCSF. When he’s not in the library, he’s looking for a new way to give back to the community. He was the Chair for SFBC, he was the youngest candidate ever to run for a Director’s seat, and he was the Youngest Director on the Board. For all that, Sayed has been named UCSF’s College Professor of the Year. There’s a lot that makes Sayed incredible, but one thing makes him different. He adds, “We have immense potential as a human race but we tend to bury ourselves in our own problems, internalize our misery and eventually disconnect from ourselves and the world around us. We are affecting each other’s mental well-being through our own thoughts and actions. We are all connected and no one can do anything about it alone. We need to start realizing and accepting the fact that we all suffer from depressi...
